Spain will hand over new military aid package to Ukraine

Spain has confirmed that it will provide Ukraine with six more launchers for Hawk anti-aircraft missile systems. Madrid is also preparing new supplies of artillery shells. This was reported by the press service of the Spanish Ministry of Defense.


Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles explained that six anti-aircraft systems will be integrated into the American battery. In November, Spain will host training for Ukrainian operators and technical staff of the Hawk air defense system.


Robles also announced new supplies of 155-mm and 105-mm artillery ammunition. Ukraine will also receive heavy machine guns from Spain to counter drones.


According to the minister, field rations are on their way to Ukraine. Spain is preparing to send power generators and diving compressors, as well as winter gear for the military.


In addition, training for Ukrainian defenders will continue in the Spanish city of Toledo and other cities. Earlier, Spain conducted training for 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers, and this number is planned to increase to 4,000.
