Ukraine will become a NATO member under condition of reforms, - Stoltenberg

NATO foreign ministers will make recommendations for Ukraine's accession to the alliance at a meeting on November 28-29. Ukraine will become a NATO member under condition of reforms. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, The Guardian reports.

"Allies agree that Ukraine will become a NATO member. At the NATO-Ukraine meeting, we will agree on reform recommendations as we continue to support Kyiv on its path to NATO membership," the Secretary General said.

Stoltenberg also said that "all Allies, as before, agree that full membership remains impossible in the midst of war, even as efforts continue to bring Ukraine and NATO closer together."

Stoltenberg also stated that Sweden's upcoming accession to NATO "will make us all safer" and called on Turkey and Hungary to complete its ratification.
