Hamas takes responsibility for terrorist attack in Jerusalem: number of victims has increased

As a result of the shooting at a bus stop in Jerusalem, the number of victims increased to three. At the same time, six people were injured. This was reported by The Times of Israel.

At the same time, Hamas militants claimed responsibility for the morning terrorist attack in Jerusalem.

In their statement, the militants noted the "dignity" of two criminals, brothers Murad (38) and Ibrahim (30) Nemer from the Sur Baher neighborhood in East Jerusalem, calling them "jihad martyrs."

Three Israelis were killed in the attack: 24-year-old Livia Dickman, 73-year-old rabbinical judge from Ashdod Elimelech Wasserman, and 60-year-old Hannah Ifergan. Two attackers got out of a car around 7:40 am and opened fire on people at the bus stop.

According to the police officer, two soldiers and an armed citizen who were nearby returned fire and killed both terrorists.

In a statement, Hamas said the attack was a response to Israeli military action in the Gaza Strip and the killing of two children in Jenin in the West Bank yesterday.
