Britain expands sanctions against those who support Putin: China, Serbia, Turkey, UAE in focus

The UK government has announced new sanctions against people and groups that supply and finance Putin's military machine. This is reported on the government's website.

The sanctions list includes companies in Belarus, China, Serbia, Turkey, the UAE and Uzbekistan that continue to support Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine.

"By including organizations operating in China, Serbia and Uzbekistan, the UK has now taken action against more than 30 third country organizations that support Russia's military efforts. This signals the UK's intolerance of those who contribute to Russia's illegal war, wherever they are", the statement said.

The list of 46 new sanctions also includes Russian arms manufacturers and importers of military products, as well as three entities supporting the Wagner Group network and four operators of the so-called "shadow fleet" vessels used by Russia to soften the blow of oil-related sanctions.
