The Ukrainian capital is going to close new stations of the Kyiv subway, including the blue line. This became known from an official commentary given by Dmytro Pinchuk, deputy head of the Kyiv Metro utility, to the Telegraph.

According to him, due to physical wear and tear and the need to improve performance, the tunnel sections along the "Pochaina" and "Taras Shevchenko" main lines require scheduled overhaul.

"The company is procuring design work. The site is under constant periodic supervision. Train traffic safety and safe passenger transportation are ensured," Pinchuk said.

In general, according to him, the company's specialists monitor and supervise the technical condition of the subway facilities in accordance with the current regulatory documents.
