The Dutch Army talks about the need to prepare for war with Russia

The Commander-in-Chief of the Army of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, General Martin Wijnen, has stated the need to be prepared for a possible war with Russia. This was reported by De Telegraaf.

"We must be seriously prepared for a possible armed conflict with Russia," Wijnen said.

According to him, the Netherlands should follow the example of Sweden, Finland and the Baltic countries. These countries border or are close to Russia, and, according to the army chief, the population there is better prepared for a war with the "big neighbor."

"The Netherlands has to learn again that the whole society has to be ready when something goes wrong," Wijnen said.

He added that for citizens, this means availability of food and drinking water supplies.

"The Netherlands should not think that security is guaranteed with us because we are 1500 kilometers away," the general said.

"Russia understands only one language - strong armed forces," Wijnen said, emphasizing that the Netherlands must strengthen its army.
