Ukrainian Navy responds to Turkey's statement on minesweepers

There is no "treason" in the fact that Turkey recently did not allow the Chernihiv and Cherkasy minesweepers to enter the Black Sea. The Navy did not submit a request to Ankara. This was announced by Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk during a telethon.

"Given the Montreux Convention, no other option should have been expected in principle, so, accordingly, I can only confirm that we had no such intentions," Pletenchuk said.

In particular, the spokesman added that Turkey also does not allow Russian warships to enter the Black Sea, so there is no "treason" in the minesweeper incident.
