On the morning of January 8, a number of residents in Kryvyi Rih were left without electricity due to difficult weather conditions, trolleybuses and trams do not run in the city, and boiler houses operate on generators. This was stated by Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, on Telegram.

"Due to extreme weather conditions, 15 thousand subscribers in the city are disconnected from electricity, 4 boiler houses are running on generators in the water circulation mode, 2 pumping stations of the City Water Supply Company are also running on generators. Trolleybuses and trams are not working due to icy conditions, and the high-speed tram is partially operational," Vilkul said.

Currently, buses, minibuses and diesel generator trolleybuses are operating in the city.

Vilkul emphasized that all the city's utilities work in an emergency mode, and special equipment helps in cleaning the roads from snow and ice. Utility crews and rescuers are actively working to remove debris from fallen trees.
