More than 50 drones attacked Russian regions last night: details

Several dozen drones attacked Russian regions on the night of March 13. The Russian Defense Ministry said on Telegram that 58 drones were intercepted or shot down.

"Regular air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 58 UAVs over the territories of Belgorod (11), Bryansk (eight), Voronezh (29), Kursk (eight), Leningrad (one), and Ryazan (one)," the message says.

The Russians accused the "Kyiv regime" of the attack.

At the same time, an oil refinery in Ryazan caught fire after the explosion, Telegram channels reported. The governor of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, said that the fire started as a result of a UAV strike. He added that there were victims, but did not give any other details.

According to the Telegram channel 112, three attack drones attacked Ryazannefteprodukt, a subsidiary of Rosneft. It is alleged that the drones hit two primary oil refining units. A fire broke out, the area of which, according to various sources, was 100-200 m². Two people were injured in the attack and hospitalized.

The Astra channel published several videos of the fire filmed by local residents. In the off-screen discussions, the authors of the video say that there were several explosions. One of the impacts was captured on video.

The governor of the Voronezh region of Russia, Alexander Gusev, said that air defense in the region had shot down "more than 40 air targets."

According to him, infrastructure and housing were damaged in a number of settlements, including a private house and a substation in Buturlinovsky district, and a shop roof was partially destroyed in Sovetsky district. There were no casualties.

Astra notes that a military airfield with the same name is located four kilometers from Buturlynivka. The channel also published a photo from the market in Voronezh, where, according to the channel, the wreckage of a UAV fell.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Belgorod region, said that during the night and morning air defense systems shot down at least seven drones in the region, and another "crashed with subsequent detonation." No one was injured, and residential buildings, a gas supply line, and a power line were damaged. He also stated that the city of Shebekino came under "Ukrainian armed forces shelling". An employee of an industrial enterprise was injured, there was "smoke" at the enterprise, and residential buildings and power lines were damaged.

In the morning, Gladkov wrote about the attack of two drones on Belgorod. One of the drones, he said, "crashed into an apartment building," the explosion smashed windows in several apartments and damaged the facade and roof of the building, and damaged windows in two neighboring "educational institutions." The second drone, Gladkov wrote, fell into the river and caused no damage.

There were also reports in the media about a drone strike on the building of the FSB office in Belgorod.
