Sandu tells when referendum on Moldova's accession to the EU may take place

The referendum on Moldova's accession to the European Union is constitutional and may take place on October 20. This was reported on Facebook by Moldovan President Maia Sandu.

"The Constitutional Court made a decision – the referendum on joining the EU is constitutional. It can be held on October 20 and will contain the following question: "Are you in favor of Moldova's accession to the European Union?" Sandu wrote.

Earlier, the Constitutional Court of Moldova approved the introduction of provisions on European integration into the Constitution and the holding of a referendum.

"We need unity, we need the participation of every party, public organization, and citizen, so that together we can guarantee the peace and well-being of Moldovans. By uniting for a European Moldova, we will succeed in achieving our common goal - for Moldovans to live in peace, dignity and freedom in a strong European country," the President of Moldova emphasized.
