Kyiv will be grateful to its Western partners for military reinforcements if needed. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, CBC reports.

Asked whether Ukraine would welcome the deployment of troops from NATO countries, he said it would help push back the enemy. But today, Kyiv is only asking for military equipment from its allies.

“If the time comes, we will be absolutely grateful and we will be happy,” the prime minister added.

It should be noted that Russia has decided to conduct tactical nuclear weapons exercises.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said on his Telegram channel that the exercise is a response to statements by Western leaders about sending their troops to Ukraine. 

“Sending their troops to the territory of Ukraine will cause their countries to enter the war directly, which we will have to respond to. And, unfortunately, not on the territory of Ukraine,” he wrote.
