Ukraine and Belgium have started negotiations on a security cooperation agreement. This is stated on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.


According to the publication, the talks were initiated by Ukraine with the participation of a delegation led by Andriy Yermak, head of the Presidential Office. However, they were conducted by Deputy Head of the Office Ihor Zhovkva.


Peter Moors, Head of the Belgian Prime Minister's Cabinet for Security and Foreign Affairs, led the Belgian delegation.


The parties discussed the draft agreement and agreed on the next steps.


The President's Office noted the progress in the negotiation process and expressed hope for a quick conclusion of the agreement.
