Zakharova reproached Ukraine for appropriating borscht

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused the Ukrainian authorities of destroying unwanted literature, including cookbooks. Among other things, she said that Ukraine was trying to appropriate borscht.

She said this during her briefing. Zakharova compared what is happening in Ukraine to the practice of destroying unwanted literature.

According to her, all kinds of books have been destroyed, not only history books, but also ethno-cultural, religious and even children's literature.

"Even cookbooks were forbidden. Why? Because you couldn't share your borscht. Well you can't! It had to belong only to one person, to one nation," said a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
