President Volodymyr Zelenskiy discussed with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi the issue of defense cooperation and the situation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

 This is stated in the president's message on the Facebook page.

 During the conversation, the leaders talked about the development of the situation at the front.

 "Defense cooperation with Italy is important for Ukraine. It needs to be strengthened," Zelenskiy wrote.

 He also discussed with Draga the state of affairs at the ZNPP.

 "Demilitarization and return to the control of Ukraine is a guarantee of the safety of the station," Zelenskiy emphasized.

 We will remind, on September 25, parliamentary elections will be held in Italy, which will be won by an alliance of right-wing parties with a high probability.

 Matteo Salvini, the leader of the Italian far-right League party, which is part of this alliance, supports the continuation of arms supplies to Ukraine.
