The response to Metropolitan Pavlo's ultimatum - the Lavra case was appealed to the court

The reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" appealed to the Economic Court of Kyiv, because the representatives of the UOC MP do not stop blocking the work of the commission of the Ministry of Culture.

Oleksandr Tkachenko, the head of the MKIP, reported this in Telegram.

He reminded that today the commission for the reception and transfer of property was again unable to start its work on the territory of the Lavra due to the opposition of the UOC MP.

"Therefore, the Reserve turned to the Economic Court of Kyiv to remove the numerous obstacles that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Russian Orthodox Church is putting in the way of the legal transfer of the property of the Lavra to the legal owner - the state," Tkachenko noted.

The Minister added that according to Article 381 of the Civil Code of Ukraine, the property owner has the right to demand the removal of obstacles in exercising the right to use and dispose of his property.

It should be noted that Metropolitan Pavlo previously stated that the UOC MP will not leave the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra unless there is a corresponding court decision. Yesterday, March 30, the Economic Court of Kyiv rejected the claim of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Ukraine to invalidate the termination of the Lavra lease agreement.

We will remind you that today, March 31, representatives of the UOC MP did not allow the commission to inspect one of the buildings on the territory of the Lavra.

After that, the Reserve turned to the police because of blocking the work of the commission.
