Moscow's attempt to destroy the energy system of Ukraine failed, - British intelligence

The Russian campaign to seriously destroy the unified energy system of Ukraine in the winter of 2022-2023 has failed.

The British Ministry of Defense reported this on Twitter.

As noted in the message, Russia has been carrying out long-range strikes since October 2022, but since the beginning of March 2023, large-scale attacks have become rare. Smaller shocks (less than 25 carriers) continue, but are unlikely to affect the system.

According to British intelligence, Ukrainian network companies continue to purchase transformers and other important components for replacement. Transporting and installing these components is a major logistical challenge, especially high-voltage transformers that weigh at least 100 tons.

"The energy situation in Ukraine is likely to improve with the arrival of warmer weather. Planning and preparation for next winter have probably already begun," the British Ministry of Defense notes.

We will remind you that the National Bank predicts that there will be no shortage of electricity in Ukraine by the end of 2023.
