Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to visit China in October to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. This was reported by the Russian news agency TASS, citing Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev.

"In October, we are counting on thorough bilateral talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing as part of the Russian president's participation in the "One Belt, One Road" international forum," the publication quoted Patrushev as saying.

The last time the Chinese president met with Putin was in Moscow in March of this year.
