Will summonses be sent to men abroad: opinion in the Rada

The new law on mobilization stipulates that men abroad will be able to update their data in electronic cabinets. However, they will not receive summonses. This was stated by Fedir Venislavsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.

"There is no mechanism for doing this at the moment," he said in response to a question about summonses.

In addition, the committee rejected a proposal to ban the provision of consular services for men abroad if they do not have military registration documents.

However, such persons are allowed to use the means of communication or an electronic cabinet to obtain the relevant military registration document or update their data, the MP explained.

"We have left the possibility, first of all, for people living outside Ukraine to use the electronic cabinet to update their data remotely without entering the territory of Ukraine, as there will be a problem with the possibility of their departure," Venislavsky said.

According to him, this may also include students studying abroad and men who moved abroad before the war.
