Budget spending on defense will decline in 2024, while spending on officials will increase. This is stated in the law "On the State Budget".
Along with the increase in salaries for doctors and teachers, the budget provides for an increase in spending for most ministries and agencies, except for those belonging to the Defense Forces.
Thus, at the level of the current year, the state budget for 2024 provides for spending only on the Foreign Intelligence Service. Funding for the Security Service of Ukraine and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine will decrease by 2-3%.
At the same time, the state budget envisages a 64 billion hryvnias reduction for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and a 188 billion hryvnias reduction for the Ministry of Defense itself.
