On Wednesday, November 29, the Slovak government, headed by Prime Minister Robert Fico, decided to extend the ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine and tighten transit rules. This was reported by Novinky.cz.


In addition to wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower, the ban will be extended to imports of honey, sugar, malt and soybeans.


According to the proposal of Polish Minister of Agriculture Richard Takacs, the transit of all agricultural products and food from Ukraine will be subject to customs closure. In fact, this means that the shipments will be sealed.


In its proposal, the Ministry of Agriculture noted that the measures are necessary, in particular, due to the lack of a pan-European decision for Ukrainian goods.
