Turkey is facing a choice: between the EU and NATO, as well as Russia and Hamas

Turkey must choose a side in international geopolitics. Ankara must choose between supporting the EU, NATO and their values or supporting Russia, Iran, and Hamas. This was stated by Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas in the Ekathimerini publication.

He noted that "from the first moment (of the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 - ed.), all 27 EU member states unanimously recognized Israel's right to self-defense, condemned the terrorist attack and loudly stated that there is no justification for terror."

"Turkey has to choose which side of history it wants to be on: with us - with the European Union, NATO, our values, the spirit of the West, or with Moscow, Tehran, Hamas and Hezbollah," he emphasized, noting that "the answer should be clear."

At the same time, he noted that Turkey is a key partner for stability in Europe and the region in areas such as migration and trade. But he criticized the fact that Ankara does not participate in sanctions against Russia.
